Never mind the U.S. economy, Uganda's is on the up and up. By employing struggling female artisans to create their line of handbags and accessories, Tukula is working to create job infrastructure in Uganda. The money the women receive goes to pay for school fees, to further their own business pursuits or to provide a sustainable way of caring for themselves and their families. Maybelline says it best, ladies; because you're worth it. |

Take it from Aretha, women deserve respect. Tukula gives just that, regardless of tribe or religion, and compensates their employees with above-average wages. To sweeten the deal, they provide each woman with mental and physical healthcare and a savings program. Tukula operates out of a safe, clean and encouraging work environment in Jinja, Uganda. R.E.S.P.E.C.T., Tukula. |
