We're a group of passionate social entrepreneurs (and intrapreneurs!) who fundamentally believe that we can make a difference in the world by harnessing the power of a business model. There are literally thousands of brands that have integrated inspiring causes into their business model that we think you should know about, and we're on a mission to make sure you do!
Beyond all this, we're regular peeps just like you who are committed to helping create positive social change with our everyday actions. We play ping-pong in the office, hang on the beach on the weekends, go out on the town with our family and friends, and advocate for social entrepreneurship at every chance we can!

Roozt's One Member, One Meal program is in partnership with Feeding America, the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief charity. Founded by Brent Freeman, Nick Reder, & Norma LaRosa in 2009, Roozt wasn't always Roozt. In fact, back in early 2009, we were an eCommerce site called MARCsMovement.com... yeah, it's a mouthful. MARC stood for Moral And Responsible Companies...Get it? MARC? : / and the premise was to create a mainstream online shopping destination of the best socially conscious brands we could find. While the name stunk, the concept didn't and we got some early traction that led us to what we are today... We've been a living, breathing experiment of following your passion, listening to our customers, and pressing-on against all odds.
The name Roozt came from a long night of brainstorming where we really dove into what we wanted to be as a company. We plastered our walls with paper and wrote down all the adjectives we could think of for what we wanted to be. About 5 hours, and a few beers later :), we noticed a central theme: that we wanted to create an online platform that incubated and accelerated the growth of the coolest socially conscious brands out there. We wanted to be the place where companies could come to hatch, grow, and become successful. This led us to the name Roozt... and our first official company tagline was "The Hatchery for Responsible Shopping" (something we've since retired into the rafters) for our new tagline of: Bringin' Sexy Back to Giving Back!
