ABOUT FallingWhistles
WHY WE LOVE THEM
Humanitarian
Falling Whistles is one of those organizations that fundamentally exists to help shed light on one of the world's largest wars that you probably never heard of. In a war where child soldiers were not just a myth, but very much a reality, a whistle was often given to children too small to carry guns. When Falling Whistles founders traveled to the Democratic Republic of Congo over 4 years ago, they heard the story of these whistles and decided to take action. They created a non-profit brand that took a symbol of war and turned it into a symbol of peace, hope, and activism. Their beautiful whistle necklaces are sold to help end the war in Congo with proceeds going to help their on-the-ground programs that invest in local leaders like Amani Matabaro who are creating vocational training schools for women affected by the war to provide them with skills traning, hope, and opportunities to have a better life. Be a whistleblower for peace and help end the war in Congo with every purchase.
ABOUT FallingWhistles Falling Whistles is a campaign for peace in Congo. The whistle is a symbol of protest and we ask individuals to be whistleblowers for peace. We invest the proceeds from the whistle sales in Congolese visionaries, and we are building a global coalition for peace.

We began with a small story inside our world's deadliest war; a single story of a single day. We learned of children sent to the frontlines, armed with only a whistle. That story birthed our symbol and was forwarded around the world to readers who wrote back asking - what can we do? How can we help? We have been working to answer their questions ever since.

We started with no home, no office and no plan - just $5 and a dream worth our everything. We pulled desks out of dumpsters, put them in our garage, and launched a campaign toward a goal most called impossible - peace in Congo.

Three years later we are investing in 6 Congolese leaders working with over 600 war-affected women and children. Today the coalition for peace includes 50,000 whistleblowers, 200 retailers, 77 organizations, 35 Congressmen and 16 Senators.
