ABOUT Boyd Sailcloth
WHY WE LOVE THEM
Eco-Friendly
Willis Boyd was a diehard seafaring man. Born and raised in Southern California, Willis was an avid sailor, racer, custom sailboat designer and resourceful user of discarded shipyard material. In 2009, Willis's grandson, together with a family friend, founded BOYD Sailcloth based on the philosophy that the artifacts around us can be reclaimed and repurposed into functional pieces inspired by their origins. Fashioned from retired wind-blown sails and vintage navy canvas, BOYD Sailcloth products are as durable as they are eco-friendly. They are 100% recycled, locally sourced whenever possible and, true to the man who inspired them, always made in sunny Southern California.
