It makes sense that Tuita means "people" given the brand's socially responsible business p
ractices, but "nature" would be equally as appropriate a name. Tuita is a trader and manufacturer of Brazilian clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories made exclusively with recycled and vegan materials. They work directly with cooperatives, socially responsible companies and corporations that actively participate in the preservation of the environment. Whether or not you speak Tupi Guarani, Tuita's message rings loud and clear.
The Tuit brand, idealized by the businessman Guilherme Gargantini Filho and by the journalist Ktia Dotto Duarte Gargantini, trades clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories manufactured by cooperatives, socially responsible companies and corporations engaged in issues related to environmental preservation and sustainable development.
The main focus of Tuit is fashion for men and women. The proposal is to produce, together with cooperatives and companies in Brazil and abroad, creative collections using alternative materials for the brand, taking into account the trends, s
easons of the year and the fashion market.
SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
In addition to the work developed with cooperatives, Tuit also trades products
from socially responsible companies that ACTIVELY participate in the preservation of the environment.
The companies that supply products to Tuit submit periodic reports on their social and environmental actions developed throughout the year.
The name Tuit comes from the Tupi Guarani language and its meaning is very appropriate: People.
The name Tuit is the result of a research on information about Indian Tribes. Through this research, we found the website www.indios.info, by the expert Renato Nicolai.
The website contains a number of words used by most Brazilian Indian tribes. Renato has one of the largest libraries on Brazilian Indians. His collection has over 4,000 titles, among books, essays, photographs, illustrations, maps.
The main goal of Nicolais Project is to raise information on the aforementioned Brazilian Indian Tribes, from the discovery of Brazil until today. This work has been in progress for 25 years.
