DESCRIPTION

Our bracelets say "Klahan" (Klaa-han) which means "Brave" in "Khmer" (Khem-eye), the language of Cambodia.

The Slate Grey Brass Wrap Bracelet is made in Phnom Penh, Cambodia by our team of fair-trade Cambodian artisans. Each brass bracelet is carved and knotted by hand, so each piece is unique. Brass bracelets can be clasped to fit a 6.5" or 7" wrist, though sizes may vary slightly. Bracelets are intended for women's wrists, and will be too small for most men.

Our pieces are shipped in a custom silk pouch hand-woven for us in Cambodia, and packed in a Brave jewelry box.

The Brave Collection donates 10% of the gross profits from each bracelet sold to anti-trafficking foundations in Cambodia and the US. ABOUT THE BRAVE COLLECTION Cambodia suffered a genocide in the 1970s, decimating the once flourishing art community, and leaving young girls today vulnerable to human trafficking.

Human trafficking is modern day slavery, and there are an estimated 30 million people across the globe who have been exploited.

The Brave Collection works to provide job opportunities for Cambodian artisans, and empower survivors of trafficking to build a new life through education and skills training.

Each bracelet is a token of freedom, and a symbol of the universal bravery that weaves together o ur global community. Wherever and whoever you are, you can take a stance for freedom.
