As the people at Sseko Designs like to say, every sandal has a story. That's because each Sseko sandal is handmade by a Ugandan woman, just out of secondary school, earning money that will go directly towards her university education. Sseko is all about empowering women and promoting economic development, two goals that couldn't be more linked. Their business brings together young girls with big dreams; aspiring doctors, professors, and businesswomen and big potential for Uganda's future.
