DESCRIPTION
Our Blue Floral Table Runner is block-printed by hand by fair trade artisans in India. The skilled women combine lovely designs with soothing blue and green hues to create a beautiful runner for your dining room.
100% Cotton | 13" x 35" | Machine Wash Cold | Line Dry
Our entire collection of fine table linens are block-printed by hand at an empowerment center for women in India. The group was created to offer the women an alternative income where few options existed. It has grown into a healthy, thriving cooperative where the women are not only offered employment but they have access to education, training and scholarships for their children.

ROOZT RATINGS
Humanitarian
No, they're not selling delicious stuffed grape leaves, but Dolma's doing you one better. Dolma dona
tes 15% of their profits to the education of girls and women living in poverty in India. The money goes to a school in the poorest community in Dharamasala where Dolma founder Melinda Haselton taught in 2006. This year, they've created a scholarship fund to assist their artisans in sending their daughters to school. Now THAT is true girl power.

Eco-Friendly
From material to shipping to marketing to disposal, every step of Dolma's manufacturing process is c
onscious of the environment. Their products are made from such materials as hemp and tree-free paper. They ship their products by sea to reduce the use of fossil fuel that is used with air travel, they print all marketing material on 100% post-consumer recycled paper and they re-use, recycle and compost discretionary materials whenever possible. Even the employees do their part to reduce Dolma's collective carbon footprint by biking or walking to work. Forget the edible kind, this is one good dolma.

Community
To spread the word about fair trade, Dolma representatives give presentations at universities and co
mmunity centers in their local community of Burlington, VT. Their hope is to encourage people to think about where everything they consume and use comes from so that when given the choice, they'll choose local, organic and fair trade. Small town, big impact.

ABOUT DOLMA
Dolma was founded in 2006 with the vision of fighting poverty through fair trade and education. We work with empowerment centers for women in India to bring their beautiful accessories and home decor to the U.S. market. In addition to abiding by fair trade standards of fair wages, women's empowerment and environmental responsibility, we donate 15% of our profits to educate girls and women living in poverty.
Dolma is the Tibetan word for the female Buddha. Legend says that she is the most compassionate person to have ever lived. She is the inspiration behind our work to help others by g
iving them the tools they need to help themselves.
